Daily SPF is a skincare staple that shouldn't be ignored
When it comes to skin care, there’s one simple principle that hasn’t changed over the years: if you want to maintain healthy, smooth, and supple skin for the long term, you need SPF. Every day. And not just in the summer. This is a position supported by dermatologists around the world. Ultraviolet radiation is one of the main factors in skin aging. And while we don’t see its effects right away, the results accumulate every day.
Why SPF is important not only in summer
Most people think of sunscreen as something you need at the beach or when you're in the sun for a long time. In reality:
- UVA rays are present all year round, even on cloudy days and in winter. They penetrate glass and do not cause burns, but they do damage the deeper layers of the skin.
- UVB rays, which are responsible for tanning and burns, are indeed active mainly in the summer, but they remain a risk even in less sunny seasons.
So, skin needs protection every day, even if you are not in direct sunlight.
What exactly does daily use of SPF do?
- Reducing signs of photoaging
Protects the skin from premature wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and dull tone. - Prevention of age spots
This is especially important if you are prone to melasma, post-acne, or hormonal changes. - Protection when using active components
Retinol, acids, vitamin C — make the skin more sensitive to UV. Without SPF, irritation or pigmentation may occur. - Maintaining healthy skin in the long term
Regular protection reduces the risk of damage to skin cells and helps maintain its integrity.
Which SPF to choose and how to use it
- In the city, SPF 30 or SPF 50 is enough, depending on your skin type.
- Apply daily, as the last step of care, before makeup.
- Volume — at least 1–1.25 ml per face and neck (approximately two strips along the fingers).
- Reapply protection every 2–3 hours if you are actively spending time outdoors or in direct sunlight.
For daily use, it is convenient to choose light formulas - for example, SPF 30 facial sunscreen or SPF 30 sunscreen spray . Such textures do not overload the skin, are quickly absorbed and combine comfortably with makeup.
Daily SPF is basic skin hygiene.
It is not seasonal, nor limited by age or skin type.
This is the minimum we can do to keep our skin healthy and resistant to external factors.
And most importantly: if your skincare includes serums, masks, and creams, let them work to their full potential. With SPF, they work more effectively and safely.
