How often should it be done?

For some reason, it so happened that taking care of the face and hair is considered an urgent necessity. But at the same time, we completely forget about body skin care.
Meanwhile, the body needs your attention no less. It needs exactly the same procedures as the face: cleansing, toning, nutrition and moisturizing.
Let's consider each of them in more detail.

Cleansing

By analogy with the skin of the face, cleansing of the body can be carried out in the form of bathing (daily care) or peeling, which is recommended to be carried out no more than once a week.

Soap and gel

Soap products used for regular cleansing of the body dry the skin to one degree or another. To prevent this from happening, vegetable oils are added to the composition of soaps and shower gels, but most often their content in these products is minimal, since essential oil is a short-lived product and cannot be stored for a long time.
The good news is that you can "revive" your shower gel yourself by adding a little oil to it before use. It can be citrus, grape or almond seed oil, olive oil or lavender oil - which one is more suitable for you personally.

You can also follow the simplest path: buy a natural shower gel that already contains several types of plant components, including a natural coconut foaming agent - an excellent alternative to alkaline products.

By scrubbing

Peeling is necessary in order to free the skin from dead cells and stimulate the renewal of its upper layers. Natural scrubs saturated with essential oils are very good for this - a kind of combination of a cosmetic procedure with aromatherapy. Scrubs are selected depending on the type of skin, since completely different materials can be used as abrasive particles.
For example, for oily and combination skin, sugar and salt scrubs are more suitable, for dry and especially sensitive skin, it is better to choose options with ground coffee, coconut shavings and poppy seeds, which do not have sharp corners and have a more gentle effect.

Toning

Things are not so simple here, as in the case of the skin of the face. If in the first case it is possible to simply apply a specially designed tonic, then you will have to work hard on the body. So that the skin does not lose elasticity and freshness, there are several types of care:
  • Gymnastics for the body (do not be surprised - physical exercises stimulate blood circulation and thus increase the tone of the skin).
  • Contrast shower.
  • Massage.
  • Baths with herbal decoctions, essential oils and sea salt (many ready-made salts and bath bombs contain all these ingredients together, saving us from having to buy them separately).
  • Wrapping (applied once a week and promotes weight loss, as well as eliminates cellulite and smoothes the skin, making it more elastic).
  • Nourishing masks for the neck and décolletage.
  • By the way, the use of natural scrubs also has a toning effect on the skin.

Moisturization and nutrition

It is very desirable to carry out this procedure every time after cleansing - regular or peeling. As in the case of the face, it is good to use essential oils, cosmetic clay, herbal extracts and other natural products for these purposes.
From ready-made cosmetics, natural body butters, ubtan and coconut oil are perfect, which in itself is a unique product for gentle care, even for children's skin.
It should also not be forgotten that the beauty of the body largely depends not only on care, but also on lifestyle. What foods you eat, how many hours you sleep, whether you are prone to bad habits - all these factors are of great importance for the health and beauty of your skin.
